Well friends and family here I am in Austria. I have done and seen so many things, I can't wait to tell you all about them!
When I got to the airport I was really nervous that no one would be there to pick me up. This fear kind of turned out be true. When I got through the doors from the plane, no one was there! I decided my best bet was to sit and wait. So I did that for about an hour before I realized that people can't come all the way to the gate, and I had to go to baggage claim to meet my host dad! So that's what I did, and it turns out he was waiting for me.
His name is Betram and he is a big friendly giant. He must be 6'6'', at least. He graciously welcomed me to Austria and drove me home to Baden bei Wien. I was sad we didn't really go through Vienna, but I'm sure I'll have a chance to go there soon. It was fun to see how different just a simple freeway is from the U.S.
The rest of my host family was very nice. It was late when I got home, so really I just ate dinner and went to bed. I'm about to go out to the kitchen for breakfast, I'm a little scared but I think I just need to "get over it" and go out there. I love you all, I'll keep you updated!!
